Several groups gathered today outside the Governor Hotel, where Mitt Romney hosted a $2,500 to $50,000 per plate fundraiser. Among those groups of protesters were Planned Parenthood supporters.
Planned Parenthood provides preventative care, including cancer screenings and birth control, for more than three million people a year — most of whom could not otherwise afford it. Yet, Romney says that he has plans to get rid of Planned Parenthood, should he be elected President.
It should come as no surprise that his harmful plans have inspired concern from women and men across the nation. And at his fundraiser in Portland today, supporters turned out to protest his visit and to remind Romney: Women are watching.
