Protecting the Environment

Both nationally and internationally, Oregon is recognized and lauded for its history and sustained support for conservation measures. We have shown that we as a state are firmly committed to promoting a sustainable path of balancing our use and appreciation of our natural resources.
 

Oregon League of Conservation Voters and environmental advocates provide a list of 2013 legislative priorities to improve our quality of life and make our state a healthier place. These measures include:

• Clean Fuels for Oregon to reduce dependence on gas and diesel.

 

• Protecting Oregon's Water to ensure our legacy of healthy rivers for farmers, fish, and all Oregonians.

 

• Promoting more Energy Efficient Appliances to lower our energy consumption and reduce our power bills

 

• And Protecting More Rivers as Scenic Waterways
