A Day of Action

You're invited to a DAY OF ACTION: February 20, 2012!

Don’t miss this exciting rally to fight for a strong middle class! Join thousands of educators, parents, health care advocates, and other community members at the State Capitol for a day to stand up against harmful budget cuts that threaten Oregon’s way of life. We believe there’s a better way to fix Oregon’s problems.

Joining us as the emcee for the event is none other than Carl Woflson, host of AM620 KPOJ's Morning Show. From 6-9am Monday through Friday, Carl is THE voice of progressive Oregon.

STRONG FAMILIES. STRONG OREGON.

Tell your friends, family and colleagues why it’s important to attend the Day of Action for a Strong Oregon. Better yet, attend the event together!

IT'S TOO LATE FOR MAJOR LEGISLATIVE CHANGES AND REFORMS FOR THE TAX YEAR 2011-2012. BUT LEADING TO THE NEXT SESSION IN 2013, OUR RALLYING CRY SHOULD BE FOR OUR LAW-MAKERS TO FIND NEW REVENUE SOURCES TO MEET THE INCREASING DEMAND FOR ALL STATE SERVICES, ESPECIALLY THE HUMAN SERVICES (INCLUDING HEALTHCARE) AND EDUCATION!

WE ALL MUST ADVOCATE FOR A REPEAL OF THE KICKER TAX AND DEMAND THAT WEALTHY CORPORATIONS PAY A LARGER SHARE OF TAXES! WE MUST ALSO CALL FOR INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS TO REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT AND UNDER-EMPLOYMENT IN THIS STATE!

Excited to be there. Wearing RED!

You providing a bus from PDX to Salem?

If you want to strike terror into the hearts of mis-guided State legislators, follow the example set by folks in Wisconsin. These signs are homemade, battery operated, and cost about $33 to make.

This is going to be great!
