Happy Friday! Here are a few stories that brightened things up around the OO office this week:
Philomath High School has been selected as a Grammy Signature School. In recognition of their musical accomplishments, the school will receive a $5,000 grant from the Grammy Foundation.
The Oregon Zoo helped the endangered condor succeed into yet another generation.
Volunteers roamed the Oregon coast this past weekend to clean up nearly 60,000 pounds of trash off the beaches, some of the debris having drifted all the way from China, Japan, and Russia.
This incredible video shows the deep joy (and possible gratitude) a humpback whale felt, after being freed from some tangle nets. (You can skip to minute 6, if you just want to see the whale’s response.)
